Join us for a very special offering: 2 weekends of Yin Yoga, Buddhist meditation, and Yoga Nidra. There is a very very limited amount of space for this training. The spots are few, so each training stays individualized and personal, so please save your place as soon as possible.

This training welcomes those that simply seek to deepen their own practice, or seek a personal retreat. This is a comprehensive training developed for serious students and teachers interested in learning the core physical aspects of the practice of Yin Yoga, in order to teach the practice.

All YSK trainings include teaching hours, ensuring trainees get practical and applicable experience sharing Yin and Nidra. Emphasis is put on making the practice welcoming, safe, effective and broadly accessible.

YSK Yin and Nidra Training will include:

  • Core principles of Yin Yoga; how to cue postures and educate students safely

  • How to artfully sequence Yin postures for maximum myofascial and joint benefits, including targeted sequencing, and counterposes

  • How to sequence according to Traditional Ayurvedic principles of prana vayus, and how to sequence a guided meditation in Nidra according to the system of koshas

  • Study of the anatomy and biomechanics of the spine, pelvis, thigh, knee, and shoulder girdle, including considerations for injuries and modification needs

  • Understand the role and function of fascia, connective tissue, and the vital role it plays in overall health

  • How to adapt the practice to specific populations and concerns (growing bodies, aging bodies, athletes, stress-relief, sleep-aid, etc)

  • How to create and promote a Yin class, what to ask, what you will need, what to ask for.

  • 2 sample scripts for Yoga Nidra, and how to build your own script for maximum benefit

  • An understanding of some common applications for Yoga Nidra in the worlds of education, mental health, and social change.

By the end of these weekends - which does include practice teaching - you will have the foundations to teach a complete class in each style, and the resources to begin doing so professionally, if you choose.
