200hr Frequently Asked Questions
Can I switch between Learning Tracks?
Yes! You can switch between the In-Person and Virtual Path as needed, allowing you to tailor your training to your schedule and learning preferences. Both tracks are designed to provide a seamless and comprehensive learning experience.
Do I need to complete the modules in a specific order?
No, you do not need to complete the modules in a specific order. However, Opening Weekend is the first module, and Beyond Asana 2 is designed to be the last module before the Research Project. The remaining modules can be completed in any order that works best for you.
If you do not complete all required modules within 5 years, you will need to restart your training through our Path to Completion Initiative. Our training content is continually evolving to reflect the latest research, techniques, and insights in yoga and yoga therapy. As a result, the program you began may no longer align with the current curriculum.
Additionally, continuity in subject matter is essential for a cohesive and thorough understanding of the material. Taking too long to complete your training can result in gaps that hinder your ability to fully integrate and apply what you've learned.
Through the Path to Completion Initiative, you will go through a re-commitment process, including a re-enrollment fee. You'll be given a one-year deadline to re-take and successfully complete all required modules, meeting the graduation criteria under the updated curriculum. This ensures you graduate with the most comprehensive, up-to-date education and are fully prepared to excel as a teacher or therapist.
What if I don’t complete all modules in the 5 year window?
Will I receive certification upon completion?
Yes, participants who complete all modules and meet program requirements will receive a certification in Yoga Teacher Teaching through Yoga San Kalpa.
Why is early registration recommended?
The program includes comprehensive pre-coursework to build critical context before the first module. Early registration ensures you have ample time to engage with these materials and prepare for the immersive study ahead. Additionally, space is strictly limited to maintain the program's depth and quality.
Our programs are non-refundable and non-transferable. This policy reflects the significant investment we make in providing high-quality, comprehensive training. From the moment you enroll, you gain access to an extensive library of materials, including detailed manuals and pre-coursework, all of which hold significant value on their own.
We encourage you to carefully consider your commitment before starting, as our programs are designed to be transformative and rewarding for those who engage fully. If you have concerns or feel uncertain at any point, we are here to support you and help you navigate any challenges to ensure you get the most out of your training.
What if I start, but decide the program isn’t for me?
We are not Yoga Alliance affiliated, and do not recommend teachers to enroll. Yoga Alliance has significantly lowered the bar on yoga teacher training programs, lobbied against regulation that would allow the industry to leverage health insurance, and has declined to publish financial reports for several years despite the requirement for an NGO. The organization does not enforce graduation standards of teacher training facilitator requirements beyond a 200hr cert. They perform no ongoing quality monitoring or audits, and continue to consider schools and teachers members even when there are grave ethical concerns raised.
Our school stands for integrity and excellence for the yoga industry. The concept of Yoga Alliance is being abandoned by the majority of reputable studios in the united States. We are a member school of IAYT - International Association of Yoga Therapists. Please visit their website for information on their Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics, two pillars that elevate the industry standard, and align with YSK’s values.
