Buddhism Training - Frequently Asked Questions

What makes this program unique compared to other meditation or Buddhist studies programs?

This program offers both breadth across all branches of Buddhism and depth through personal practice and direct experience. It combines historical and philosophical study with immersive practice, ensuring a rigorous and rewarding journey into the heart of Buddhist teachings.

Our mission is to make Buddhism accessible and applicable, shedding the perception that it is esoteric or unattainable. The tools and teachings of Buddhism speak directly to the human condition, addressing the challenges of suffering, impermanence, and interdependence in ways that are profoundly relevant today. Even in the Buddha's time, the teachings were offered in the common vernacular to reach everyone, regardless of background or status. This program continues that tradition, breaking down complex philosophies into practical, usable steps to transform how we navigate life.

In no small way, this training has the potential to fundamentally shift your perspective. Past trainees have shared that the program brings the teachings of compassion, wisdom, and liberation into focus, offering clear, actionable methods for releasing unnecessary suffering and finding greater freedom and peace. Whether you are facing daily stressors or life’s greatest challenges, this program will give you tools to meet them with resilience, clarity, and a deeper sense of purpose.

Buddhism is not just a philosophy; it is a way of living that has changed lives for thousands of years. Our aim is to bring these ancient, universal truths into the modern world, offering a practical path to navigate the complexities of today’s human experience.

Is this program suitable for beginners in Buddhism or meditation?

Yes, the program is designed to support both beginners and those with prior experience. The extensive pre-coursework builds foundational knowledge, and the structured modules guide participants step-by-step through history, philosophy, and meditation practices, while accommodating individual levels of familiarity.

The program includes comprehensive pre-coursework to build critical context before the first module. Early registration ensures you have ample time to engage with these materials and prepare for the immersive study ahead. Additionally, space is strictly limited to maintain the program's depth and quality.

Why is early registration recommended?

Will I receive certification upon completion?

Yes, participants who complete all modules and meet program requirements will receive a certification in Buddhist Meditation Teaching through Yoga San Kalpa.

If you miss a module, you’ll need to complete the same module in a future training. Given the program’s depth, limited space, and dependency on connection, trust and vulnerability between participants, make-up sessions are not offered, and recordings are not available.

What happens if I miss a module?

What if I start, but decide the program isn’t for me?
